brickmoon / Who We Are

Jeremy McFarland started Brickmoon Design as an expression of his philosophy that design is a simple matter of practical artistry. With extreme sensitivity to client wishes and environmental responsibility, Jeremy has become one of the leaders in the residential design community in quality of design and engaging creativity. Because of these commitments, Brickmoon Design has emerged as one of the premier custom residential design firms in the Greater Houston area.

With an Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Architecture degree from Arizona State University, Jeremy began his architectural career with the highly respected commercial design firm, PageSoutherlandPage. For seven years, Jeremy worked on and managed a wide variety of design and construction projects including academic, corporate commercial, healthcare, and multi-family residential.

In 2004, Jeremy took a position as Lead Designer of Custom Homes for Allegro Builders. At Allegro, Jeremy created an innovative and collaborative design/build process where home owners and designers teamed together with the builder to create unique designs with remarkable details. At Allegro, Jeremy became known for his eagerness to listen to clients, to bridge the gap between clients and builders, and to deliver on client expectations. In the process, Jeremy made a name for himself as one of the most visionary and innovative designers in the Houston area.

Jeremy has designed homes of a variety of styles including Traditional, French Country, New Orleans, Cottage, Spanish, Craftsman, Victorian, Mediterranean, Tuscan as well as today's Hi-Tech Modern Design. He has experience designing large, multi-level, complex homes on enormous lots as well as more basic, simple homes on smaller lots.

At Brickmoon Design, Jeremy is able to focus exclusively on providing clients with comprehensive designs which accurately reflect their needs and desires. These designs emphasize the idea that creating or remodeling a home is a simple matter of practical artistry.

In addition to being a successful designer, Jeremy is also a dedicated husband to his wife Amy, a devoted father (Jonah, Chloe, and Wyatt), an involved member at Champion Forest Baptist Church, and an avid fisherman.
